Great Obscure Album!

This is Survivor's best album. "Chevy Nights" alone makes this album worth it. Jim Peterik and Frankie Sullivan were such underrated songwriters. Do yourselves a favor and get this album. Great early 80s rock, ala Journey/REO Speedwagon.

Offers a look at the 'roots' of a true rock and roll band...

After spinning "When Seconds Count" or even "Vital Signs" it might be hard to believe that Premonition is actually roots of the same band. Premonition is pure 70's style rock and roll more in the vein of 38 Special than Reo Speedwagon. Summer Nights is as good as the bad ever was. Poor Man's Son is the rocker that inspired Sylvester Stallone to ask the band to author a theme for his third rendition of the Rocky saga. It gets no better than 'Take You On a Saturday', as lead singer Dave Bickler really struts his gritty sound on this album. Runaway Lights, Light of a Thousand Smiles and Heart's a Lonely Hunter are all worthy efforts and this album is a great for anyone looking for something special they might have just missed the first time around.

One of the Best Albums of the early 80's

Frankie Sullivan and Jim Peterik were amazing song writers. Thier music brings back so many memories...My son was born that year, we attended a Survivor Concert. Today My Son is a Bigtime Rock Fan of Survivors!!
