Wow.
I haven't seen the movie, but the score makes me want to. Some of these cues are so quietly moving and inspirational that there must've been something pretty astounding happening onscreen to inspire them. Listen to "God Bless This Space" and "Pride Determination Reliance" -- Aaron Zigman is really coming into his own as a composer. He's one of those composers, like Kerry Muzzey and Marcelo Zarvos, that I really hope we hear more from. If this is any indication of his ability, I think an Oscar is in his future. This one is a stunner... powerful stuff.
Wow
I've seen PRide and it is such a great movie. IT is inspiring and vrey heart touching. The soundtrack is even more inpiring and it is so cool to hear it in the theaters. This soundtrack really gives how kids\people feel at swim meets. I know this because it swim, and I know how it feels. This sound track is very very good. I'm going to buy it!!!!!
Well Done...
Not the best score of the year, but a very good one. The music isn't very original, with some nods to Thomas Newman. Some tracks are far better than others, but only a few are 5 star material, very few are 4s, and the rest are 3s and 2s. Overall, with the amount of music presented to us here, it's worth the buy.
