Album Review

Judas Priest's first live album, Unleashed in the East, was a powerhouse, but Priest...Live! is a document of a heavy metal band trying to hold onto its glory days. [The 2002 Columbia/Legacy reissue adds three bonus tracks — "Screaming for Vengeance," "Rock Hard, Ride Free," and "Hell Bent for Leather" — and breaks up the album into two discs.]

A True Live Masterpiece!

I remember seeing this concert twice, while in high school. It was by far the loudest thing I had ever heard. Everytime the snare drum was hit, my chest thumped. Listen close to the opener "Out in the Cold" when Rob Halford says "Where are you now?"; at this point he came out from under the stage and the crowd went nuts. If you are a Priest fan, you'll love these songs in their live version! Check out Electric Eye, Heading Out to the Highway and the super loud guitar break in Private Property...not to mention Halford's screams in The Sentinel. It's a must have for any live collection.
