Hardcore Classic

Former CBGBs soundman, Tommy Victor, along with Mike Kirkland and Ted Parsons (ex Swans) deliver one of the most original hardcore/metal albums of the late eighties. This was the foundation that would evolve into Beg to Differ, Rude Awakening, and most recently, Power of the Damager. Hardcore and metal driven by many diverse influences such as Swans, Joy Division, and Killing Joke. I love every record by Prong. It's an evolutionary process. There is always a sense of momentum. Try and catch Tommy Victor and the most current lineup while they're out on the road. He still delivers after all these years.

I bought this on vinyl when this first came out and its just as good today. Disbelief, denial and In my Veins are the beat. You wull not be dissapointed by buing this. Much rawer than anything else they did

Funny how iTunes says 'no ratings'. This is one of the best metal albums ever released, period.
'Dreams Like That', 'In My Veins', 'Climate Control'... Metal knows no finer material.
Just saw big Tommy and his current iteration of Prong at Ruby Room (San Diego) last night. To this day he and his band throw-down some viscious, thinking man's metal beyond compare.
In closing... you need this album.

Rising out of the expansive early '90s thrash metal landscape, New York's Prong carved a niche all their own with their minimalist urban take on the genre. After years working as a soundman at New York's CBGB's Tommy Victor (vocals/guitars) drafted doorman Mike Kirkland (bass) and ex-Swans drummer Ted Parsons to form Prong in the mid 80s.
