Is this a joke?
I am not a professional musician, I'm just a student, but really people? Do you have ears? I heard more wrong notes in the 30 second clips that are up, then ANY professional recording should have. This is a disgrace to musicians and especially marimba players around the world to be in support of this cd. But more so, for a "professional" marimbist to be putting out such a poor recording of basic level literature is really a slap in the face. I would NEVER recommend this cd to any student of mine or another person to listen too. I'm honestly embarassed as a marimbist and a MUSICIAN that this is even available for purchase. Don't waste your money...
This is terrible!!!
I have played half of these songs and I can tell you that there are SOOO many errors in these pieces. I mean seriously, if you're going to make an album, at least play the songs correctly. Sure raindance is a great song (I played it before) but this version stinks because of all of the mistakes. The rest of the songs are no better. Anyone who is a musician and/or knows what they're talking about when it comes to music can tell you that these recordings are awful. Not worth the money.

I was so happy to finally find some recordings of good mallet literature on i tunes! I needed a recording of Frogs by Keiko Abe for a theory project, and I am also playing the solo in school this semester. I had just about given up on finding any good marimba pieces on here, but then i found this cd! this and the CD by Evelyn Glennie are my favorites. The tempos on this cd seem a little bit slow though.
