Buy the album!
The whole album is great--a fantastic addition to her first. Soulful, playful, relaxing, inspiring. Beautiful harmonies, gorgeous guitar work, and incredible lyrics. Not to mention, as always, flawless execution. Get the album; you won't regret it!
It's a quarter to four...
Jazzy, breezy, a late night-early morning, smoke filled night club (do they still exist?)... I stumbled across Emily on the internet and fell in love with her simple You Tube videos. Her obvious sincerity and passion shows in those vocal/guitar clips. Always of concern is making the transition from singing in the dorm room in front of a computer to making a proper studio recording. Oftimes the afore mentioned passion and sincerity are sacrificed to the god of digital perfection and the performer is forever lost in the zeros and ones. I am greatly relieved to report that Emily has not succumed to over production. Emily is easily heard and felt in all her joyous sincerity on each track. In addition to this recording, I highly recommend you view the You Tubes. Hopefully, she will keep those available as part of her maturing body of work. She's good and heading rapidly towards great.

I discovered Emily Elbert through my brother several months ago. He showed me "In the Summertime" and I have to confess, I fell in love. Since then, I have been singing "In the Summertime" to myself constantly, hoping she would release it on an album soon. I checked recently and found that she had released it. I ended up buying the album. Wow! That was a very well spent $9.99. I have been listening to the album on repeat since I bought it. Elbert is an extremely talented guitarist, singer and songwriter. This album is amazing, relaxing, and intelligent. If you haven't already bought this album, do it now. I promise you won't regret it.
