iTunes Review
This Louisiana singer has one of the most commanding voices in all of modern country. He’s able to command authority and still express his vulnerable side. The title track is the actual tale of his Tennessee home burning down. He was on tour; his wife and kids escaped without harm. Such a reminder of mortality chokes up this man’s man, who elsewhere shows further love for family and tradition with “Just Fishin’” and an empathy for the many people who have made him a star. “Days Like This” proves everyone has days that test one’s patience. “That’s What You Get” throws a muscular rock groove and a swirling organ into Adkins’ pure country. “Love Buzz” adds a slinky harmonica blues to the mix. “It’s Who You Know” spotlights stellar harmonies and a sad human truth. The Deluxe Edition features several essential highlights. “Semper Fi” tributes the men and women of the U.S. military and their bravery, while his playful duet with Blake Shelton on “If I Was a Woman” is a fantastic, spirited honky-tonk number that concludes, “I’d love a man like me.” A video for “Just Fishin’” featuring his daughter is also included.

Some of Trace's best work yet!
This is some of Trace's best work yet. I love Just Fishin', Proud to be here, and Semper Fi! The whole cd is for sure worth the download. I would also check out Buddy Mix and his songs 'When I'm lovin' you' and 'Did You Make a Difference' on his Cloud 9 cd her on itunes. His whole cd is awesome as well. Thanks Trace for giving us some great new music though the hard times you have had recently. We love you!
Semper Fi
More fabulous music from Trace Adkins! I pre-ordered this release, and have finally been able to bask in new TA tunes! My son, Sgt "Dan", is a three time combat veteran in both Iraq and Afghanistan. As a Marine mother, it brought tears to my eyes when I heard "Semper Fi". Thanks, Trace, for paying your respects, yet again, to our Marines, and all who have, and continue to serve this great nation.
Semper Fi
As a United States Marine, we often get over shadowed by the other branches of the service because of size alone. It is very common for a country musician to pay homage to the members past and present of our armed forces, and I am grateful for that. But, it's not very often someone singles out the Marines and puts together a masterpiece like this. Mr. Adkins - Thank you and Semper Fidelis!
