Finally got my hands on Psykosoul!
I'm so glad to finally get my hands on this album. I've been chasing it since 2000 when it was supposedly released by Hollywood Records (I found out later that it was not released at all). This album is a definitive collection of "neo-soul". "Deep Sleep" is a bangin' way to start off this CD, followed by the honest/earnest "That Ring". "Waiting..." is kinda spooky, I'd never wanna be on her bad side. "Good & Strong", "Stop Askin'" (where Sy is singing her face off) and "You're The One" are all nice mid-tempo songs with really nice vocals and melodies. "Distance" is about as honest as it gets: "The distance is killin me, resistance is not appealing and I don't know if I can be alone; that's not an option for me". I could go on and on... but just get the whole CD. You won't be disappointed!
Good And Strong
I just purchased the single, the local radio station here in DC used to play it years ago, I dug it so I just copped it. Havent heard the whole cd yet, but if its anything like this playful, fun, sassy tune "Good and Strong", you can't go wrong.
