Should We Talk About the Government?

To the people who are jumping up and down furiously, screaming that this isn't punk but a bunch of wusses "ripping off" Minor Threat and the Dead Kennedys: please, get a life. If you spend your days reveling in punk's "glory days" by talking smack on any band that didn't invent D.C. hardcore or have a singer named Jello Biafra, you really need to get out of the house and enjoy God's green Earth. You also need to pay a lot more attention to the current state of undergroud music. There's plenty of punk for everyone to enjoy! This compilation/cover album is obviously not meant to be taken too seriously (Amber Pacific taking on "Video Killed the Radio Star"? Really?), but if all things having to do with music are a matter of life and death to you, I suggest you either start a punk Pitchfork to vent your unbridled hatred of scene bands doing 80's covers or you get a diary and turn your middle-aged angst and paranoia into beautiful, symbolic poetry (I'm betting on neither). Oh, and Motion City Soundtrack's take on R.E.M.'s "Pop Song 89" is brilliant.

Hey Go Ahead and Buy This Album-

What makes this CD worth the purchase? It has songs I remember hearing on the radio as a kid back in the 80s but redone by my favorite punk/emo bands. Its a fun album so buy it...

Heck Yes

This cd rocks. It's got all of my favorite bands, plus you get to hear some great classic 80's song. Power of Love, the all popular song from Back to the Future, is straight acoustic, but still rocks. It's a great cd to listen to all the way through... not like some of those you buy for 2 or 1 songs. You listen to one and then you remember what old breakfast club movie it was off of .... 2 thumbs up.. i'm havin' a blasty blast.
