Awesome Talent From Germany ! ! !

This album is amazing and the band that the Birthday Massacre totally ripped off. I've been a fan of Unheilig for years and this is a well done album! Unheilig uses many electronic and industrial elements like Rammstein, Megaherz, or Eisbrecher but at the same time much more clear vocals with synth sounds backing it up. The rifts are similar throughout the album but it's used as a backbone unlike most bands. Everything flows very well and this album is much more symphonic than previous albums. My favorite track is "Spiegebild"! Check out Unheilig's other albums- Zelluloid is an amazing album too! Yay for Unheilig! :D

iTunes, I have no words for you.

iTunes is doing itself a massive disservice not uploading the rest of this band's work. This album is an amazing showcase of their talent, and yet still pales in comaprison to their past albums.
The album has some of the most amazing symphonic metal that I've ever heard, with amazing synth work, a resounding voice, and melodies/riffs that range from uplifting to downright haunting. This album hooked me with literally the first 10 seconds of the "Spiegelbild" sample. (looks like iTunes finally learned the art of picking the right 30 seconds for the job)
As for the comparisons that have been made to Rammstein and others, I will say that they do have several similaries. Rammstein, Eisbrecher, and Unheilig can generally be lumped together as great examples of German Metal, but Unheilig is truly in a league of its own.
Overall, as a dedicated fan and avid music lover, I recommend this album and this artist, with every ounce of my being.

Great combination of metal and electronica in German

This is a great album. It has a great balance of electroica, lyrics and guitar metal. I only speak some German so I have not figured out all the lyrics yet, but I have a feeling they are very deep and dark. I am also like Rammstein, OOMPH!, Megaherz and Eisbrecher. If you like those you may like Unheilig Puppenspiel.

A German industrial/gothic rock band, Unheilig (which in German means "Unholy") formed in 1999 and quickly released their first single, "Sage Ja!," that same year.
