fabulous

too many people here are complaining how this album rips off mr. bungle. no. wrong. not at all. that's like saying all modern music rips off johann sebastian bach. bungle spawned an entire generation of bands like this, bands that i follow and love. and this is frankly, one of the best albums out of this genre of what i actually "patton-rock". this dfd partial resurrection has tight and clean technique among the various instruments, a talented group of guys from dc. they are impossible to pigeon-hole as a single genre even within a single song (patton-rock identifier #1). the lyrics are sheer genius, and make you wonder - acid trip or brief moment of clarity and inspiration? it shouldn't matter that dfd and polkadot cadaver were influenced by bungle. it's the subtleties in this genre that make it so beautiful. mike patton has much more variation in his voice than the lead singer for dfd and this band, but overall, this band is much more accessible to the general public. not everyone can tolerate 10 minute tracks of pure noise, like most bungleheads.

Pure Zombietastic

I really enjoyed this album simply based off the creative writing it contained. Each song is its own entity and is enjoyable. My personal favorite was What's the Worst Thing That Could Happen. The musicians from Dog Fashion Disco are outrageous and outstanding. The clash of different musical styles reminds me of Mike Patton's ever extensive music catalog. Mainly, Faith No More, with its combination of jazz, rock, funk, and hip/hop. This album is very enjoyable. Buy it for the interesting titles alone.

worth ten bucks

Sounds a lot lot like bungle and Patton definately influenced this band. Imitation is the highest form of respect and flattery. Patton rules.
