Excellent Show, just ashame the idiots at ABC cancelled it...

I was hoping for them to eventually release a soundtrack, it is just ashame will not be able to see Ellen and Kristin perform more often, since the idiots at ABC canceled the show! Talk about a stupid programming move! It is just disgusting to see an excellent show like this get canceled, so that ABC can put on more reality crap television!

The Emmy Award Winning Soundtrack of the Pushing Daisies is here!

It is a rare thing for almost every scene in a television series to be scored. The music is a key element in creating the fairy tale world of “Pushing Daisies” that is unlike any other show on television. The score is masterfully created by Emmy winning Composer, Jim Dooley with 35 tracks that give listeners a tasty musical entrée of the entire 1st Season of “Pushing Daisies”. The album goes in order of the episodes as well as a piece from the 2nd Season (Chuck’s Swing). Notably Dooley had time to record full versions of “Morning Has Broken”, “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and “Birdhouse In Your Soul” featured in the show and sung by Kristin Chenoweth and Ellen Greene. The musical numbers are delightful; the score is whimsical, touching, heartbreaking and exciting while also giving a big nod musically to old Hollywood and Big Band Sound in “Chuck’s Swing”, “Plastic Wrap Kiss” and “Waltz”. I highly recommend these as well as “Chuck’s News Flash”, Wilfred Woodruff’s War”, “Chucky Bees” and “Death Came”. The whole album is a must have! The score is what you can imagine might be playing at the Pie Hole if you stopped by for a slice of Ned’s Georgia Peach Cobbler; it has an American feel that says “Pie is home. People always come home”. Fans of the show will certainly enjoy Dooley’s album and newcomers please pull up a chair, grab a slice of pie and slip into the world of “Pushing Daisies” where magic happens in every episode.

Great music to go along with a great show

What more can be said? if you love the show how could you NOT love this soundtrack! ok, ok I know I JUST got this season 1 soundtrack.... but since the show has been canceled lets keep up hope for a season 2 soundtrack as season 2 featured many great themes too. If we fans cant enjou a full season on TV or look forward to a season 3 ---Please consider a season 2 soundtrack!
