Grits is BACK!
One of the best Christian hip-hop groups of all time still doesn't disappoint. This album has some of the sickest beats ever from the guys and even better, a message that matters and isn't about girls, money, and self love.
Grits does it again and deserves mad props.
Eh
I personally don't care too much for this. I'm a 116 clique guy and grits doesn't really match up. However for true grits fans it is a pretty cool album and has good sound. It's just not my style. Check the PRo, json, trip lee, and lecrae 9/28/10.
GRITS: Quarantine - "Do(es) It Again"
The blazing beats and tight lyrics that GRITS is known for shines through in their latest album entitled "Quarantine." As suggested, the aurally Dapper Duo addresses the isolated feeling of seclusion that a Christian experiences in this world; especially new, young Christians who embrace marching to the beat of a "Different Drum."
Careful attention to the lyrics leads the listener to more positive, godly thinking; while the music, full of the various sounds of modern Hip Hop, encourages repeat listening. As always, GRITS provides "Fresh" club sounds and a jazzy tone with their "Nuance Music." Don't forget their trademark relationship songs. "We All We Got" reminds the listener of the importance of commitment. Finally, in their constant effort of embracing artists, GRITS features longtime friend/artist Verbs as well as new faves like Jade Harrell and IZ. "The legacy of a lifeline... Not bad for a lifetime."
