iTunes Review

It’s safe to assume that “Bohemian Rhapsody” opens here because Wayne's World kissed new life into the epic mini rock-opera, landing the tune back on the airwaves 17 years after its inception. The rest of the first half of Greatest Hits I & II brims over with obvious Queen hits. The bass strut of “Another One Bites the Dust” pumps and pulses alongside its infectious chorus and sociopathic narrative. And of course “Bicycle Race” follows “Fat Bottomed Girls” as it did on 1978’s Jazz just as the anthemic “We Are the Champions” plays after the triumphant “We Will Rock You,” which features what could be Brian May’s best guitar solo ever. Other welcomed hits include the rockabilly swagger of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and the glammy “Flash” from the 1980 film adaptation of Flash Gordon (for which Queen provided the entire score). The second half abounds with more U.K.-charting obscurities like the breezy groove of “A Kind of Magic” and the foreboding “Who Wants To Live Forever.” Ending with the grand “One Vision” from the 1986 movie Iron Eagle is a nice touch.

The Greatest Album Ever!!!

This is literally the greatest band in the world! I first heard about Queen when I heard Bohemian Rhapsody on the radio. Now, just a couple years from then, it is my favorite song. This whole album is totally worth your $33. If your just gonna buy a couple songs, buy "Bohemian Rhapsody," Another One Bites the Dust," "Killer Queen," "Don't Stop Me Now," and "Bicycle Race." I hope you enjoy this review and keep it in mind.

About Time!

Whats better then a collection of the greatest songs of the greatest band in the universe? I'll tell you, Queen is!!! Every single song I suggest you should get, but if you are on a low budget, I'll give you five picks. Queen's number one song, "Bohemian Rhapsody" is a must need, "Killer Queen" is a strong classic thats very famous, either "Fat Bottomed Girls" or "We are the Champions". The first one is fast, and the second one is slow, but very inspirational. Then "We Will Rock You" and "Another One Bites the Dust". If you already know these songs, then "Flash" , "Don't Stop me Now " (sort of like the Bohemian Rhapsody), "The Show Must Go On" (has some good quotes), and "One Vision" is sort of an interesting choice. I sincerely suggest buying the songs I have suggested, or if you like the choice I selected, try the album "Jazz". Queen, you have out done yourself this time!

THEY WILL ROCK YOU!

Freddie Mercury is (in my opinion) the most talented singer in any rock band EVER! And Queen itself is one of the most talented bands ever. The best songs on this CD are Bohemian Rhapsody, Under Pressure, Another one Bites the Dust, Killer Queen, We will Rock You, We are the Champions, ect. Queen has produced some of the greatest, most immortal songs EVER. And that is something hard to deny.

Biography

Formed: 1971 in London, England

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s

Few bands embodied the pure excess of the '70s like Queen. Embracing the exaggerated pomp of prog rock and heavy metal, as well as vaudevillian music hall, the British quartet delved deeply into camp and bombast, creating a huge, mock-operatic sound with layered guitars and overdubbed vocals. Queen's music was a bizarre yet highly accessible fusion of the macho and the fey. For years, their albums boasted the motto "no synthesizers were used on this record," signaling their allegiance with the legions...
