True artistic activism!

Way to go Ry! Just like his heroes, Ry Cooder is trying to raise awareness of injustices that most of us ignore. Please buy this to support an equal justice for everyone in the USA. By the way Ry, nice guitar sound. Would you consider making a blues album soon? I love your work, but you need to do that before you die!

For 40 years

Ry Cooder has been evolving as a musician, eschewing popular fads for the creative pursuit and representation of a variety of musical styles while maintaining his own slide guitar signature sound. With Buena Vista Social Club he evolved further this time as a human being to do Cuban musicians and Cuban music justice and then, in Chavez Ravine, to highlight the injustices experienced by Mexican Americans in Los Angeles through the story of the vibrant Chavez Ravine enclave wiped out by LA politics and Major League Baseball. Once again the extremely talented musician and the social justice advocate has stepped up.
