Excellent
Solid all-around album. I love the songwriting. The song Quiet Mind slays me. (When) She's in Love is equally moving. Not a weak song on the album and the Doxology at the end is almost a religious experience. Great vocals, great musicanship and solid rhythms. Even the harmonies are top notch. I have heard them play around nyc - I don't know if they are touring or not, but if they are, it is worth a listen.
Songs for a rainy weekend...
When I try and wind down at the end of the week and reflect on all the joys and disappointments going on in my life, there's nothing like a little Sasscer to relax. The latino and reggae elements in most of his work feels like home to me.
