African Postal Service?
Really great!! "Mombasa Island" reminds me of an African Postal Service, with great african sounds. "Henry Sage" is like a trippy orchestra song, and "R U With Me" is like the Killers meets I don't know what. "Gentle Mary" and "Slow and Steady Heart" make me sad and have lots of emotion. Everyone should hear this album!!
Substance
A well-written collection of songs. Beneath the modern synths and beats, Avion proves he is steadily working in the vein of influences such as Leonard Cohen or Bacharach, with a twist of Lennon. Think of this as old-school songwriting, filtered through a lens of modern production. If you're looking for substance rather than gimmick, you've come to the right place.
RU With Me- Review
This album seems somewhat inconsistent, with the sound varying from acoustic, to rock, pop, and weird electronic sound effects. However, the great songs such as "R U With Me", "Mombossa Island", and "Stand Up Be A Man" somehow manage to mix all of those elements perfectly and make them feel natural and fun.
