NFG didn

Never thought I'd say this is better than Blink-182... but it is!

Not bad, but not great

I've been a fan for a long time. NFG is one of those bands that I will pick up any album they put out and like it no matter what.

That's kind of exactly how I feel about this album - I do like it, but I think it's just because it's NFG. I thought they took a huge step forward with Not Without a Fight, but it seems they took a step back with this album.

Not Without a Fight was a deep, well written, well produced album. Nothing will ever touch Nothing Gold Can Stay, but I thought Not Without a Fight stacked up with their other early stuff (self titled and Sticks & Stones). The songs on Radiosurgery seem rushed and without much thought. They have adopted more of the generic sound of modern pop punk (think All Time Low, We The Kings) rather than sticking to their own unique sound.

Is it enjoyable to listen to? Sure. Is it memorable and an instant classic? Certainly not. But if you're a fan of the band or a fan of pop punk, it's worth a listen.

NFG > Blink-182: Punk Rock Is Not Dead!

'Radiosurgery' is definitely one of NFG's best albums to date! There is not a single track that doesn't have an upbeat, catchy tempo that NFG fans will appreciate. Halfway through the album I felt like I was listening to their old albums, and that's really what NFG fans are looking for. But the band has been successful in that with new material they've been able to keep their old taste in music alive, hence - 'punk rock is not dead'. My personal favorites are tracks 1, 3, 5-7, and 11. Most fans of both Blink-182 and NFG like myself think that NFG will really have a hard time trying to win over Blink with Blink's new and anticipated release after their hiatus, but I personally feel that NFG won this round. They did an incredible job on this album! Way to go you guys!
