Robinson is a MASTER of Ragtime!
...from the familiar Maple Leaf Rag and 12th Street Rag, to the stunning Crazy Rhythm and Artistic Rag, you cannot sit still and listen to this music. A superb album, with great fidelity.

Ragtime pianist, composer and music historian Aaron Robinson is one of today's leading performing artists in the world of Ragtime and Early Jazz. As conductor, Mr. Robinson has conducted several premiere works for the concert stage including Scott Joplin’s opera "Treemonisha", in association with the Scott Joplin Foundation in Sedalia, Missouri. He has lectured extensively on the history of American music, including Jazz and Ragtime: "Ragtime - 100 Years of an American Musical Heritage", and the music of George Gershwin: "Gershwin - A Life in Music". He has released several recordings including "They All Played Ragtime", along with the original cast recording of "Treemonisha - The Concert Version" and Langston Hughes’ "Black Nativity – In Concert: A Gospel Celebration". The last three tracks of this album form Robinson's famous "New England Ragtime Suite" for piano. His "Bluet Rag" is one of the most hauntingly beautiful melodies ever written in ragtime form.
