Symphonic Exploration Like Few Others!

Modern syphony explores new sounds and rhythms, but few go as far as Random Walk 911. Like reaching into the darkness and finding light, the three compositions make you journey through a range of emotions, probably much like the author has. I highly recommend this album for those seeking inspiration and new sounds that can touch the soul. It has mine.

Challenging and fascinating

Takes you on a journey where your own vivd thought association is captain of the boat. Music that's wonderful to listen to and challenging to your mind. Bravo!

Music for the future

Random Walk is a symphony that questions one of the oldest myths of mankind. Passion or Reason? Heart or Brain? Throughout years of evolution entire civilizations were built upon one of this dominating aspects of human nature, constantly conquering each other, through war and slaughter. Random Walk recognizes that the soul is often a battlefield upon which reason and judgement wage war against passion and appetite; and aspires to be the peacemaker that might turn the rivalry and discord on these opposing elements into oneness and melody. Understanding that none can prevail, and both need to be balanced out to reach bliss, Random Walk takes a look at the pinnacle of the rational human expression, the “Financial Markets”, with an “Artistic” approach, intending to create wholeness out of this duality. For reason ruling alone is a force confining, and passion unattended, is a flame burning to its own destruction. Like in “Storm” or “Calmness”, “God moves in passion” and “God rests in reason”, and world is created at the intersection. 911 was an example of opposing visions, between opposing worlds and opposing interests. A frightening example of the cost for mankind, of intolerance and abuse. Of taking extreme radical positions and views, instead of “finding ourselves in the difference”. In order to give the three movements individually, as well as the symphony as a whole a tight conceptual consistency, extensive research was involved in the selection of the initial financial indexes from which to extract the data series, that would feed the melody, which was the orchestrated for a full symphonic orchestra. The running time of the three movements totals 9 minutes, 11 seconds. The central point of each movement coincides with 911 as a date. The series cover a total of 6 months of quotes, 3 months prior and 3 months after that specific date. The first movement “Cash is King”, puts cash as the main financial asset the world knows, representing an almighty “King”. The second movement “Can’t Beat the market”, inspired on the stock market an unbeatable “Beast”, with an Achilles heel, though. The third one “In-Commodities”, based on the commodities markets, shows “Mother Nature”, suffering, from the abusive sins of its linage. Random Walk aspires to make a contribution to music, through its innovative technique that can be exploited in new unlimited ways.
