Yes!

I have been a fan of Randy since his days in Zoo Story. I wasn't able to see them live but have seen Randy a few times solo and each time was blown away with his music. Even got to meet him in person at a few of the shows . As with The Snake Session and Last Salutation, Randy's writing became more focused and in tune with the style of music that fits his voice. About every six months, I would check on here to see if he released anything and was so happy to see this album in the store.

We each have our own tastes in music and have those songs that we will love for the rest of our lives. I urge everyone reading this to give his music a listen.

On this album, it is nice to hear several tracks re-imagined by Randy. "Salutation Now" has been stripped down from the hard strumming acoustic version on a previous album. Same with "You Will Shine". As a fan, it's a treat to hear one of your favorite artists re-arrange a song that was great to begin with. Even better when it's just a good.

Several of the new tracks on the album that stand out on a first listen, "Sunshine Baby" (brings me back to "Midnight Luna" days) and "Southern Discomfort Revisted", I'm already humming during the day.

What is unique to this album and a tribute to Randy's arrangement and writing skills are the backing vocals and harmonizing that is done on the tracks here. Previous albums really had Randy's voice standing out in the songs but here on this one, the blend of both his voice and the background harmonies, evokes the early days of the Eagles and makes this songs achieve a new level.

Randy, if you read this, it was great meeting you at the two shows you did a while back. I will always be an advocate for your music and hope that I get to see you again live. Keep doing what you're doing so well and I'll continue to keep chasing zen as I listen to your music.

I've been waiting for this..

Few songs on there are basically re-arrangements of songs from the previous album? Is there info in the liner notes that would explain this?
