Great stuff
I came upon Rantings of Eva by complete accident one night while wandering around L5P in Atlanta. The sound coming from the venue was catchy as hell and I felt the need to hear a little more. So $5 later and with a fresh stamp quickly drying on the inside of my right wrist, I was treated to an unforgettable experience. Their energy and presence on stage was a treat. It's been a long time since I've seen them live (being a perennial West-coaster), but I've been waiting for this LP for some time and it does not disappoint. While lacking some of the musical intuition that would truly allow this album stand on it's own as a progressive work, this is a great start for ROE and a solid first effort by any measure. Meandering through each track, the potential of the band is palpable. Listen and enjoy!! I'm certainly looking forward to seeing where these guys decide to take their sound.
An excellent album
The Rantings of Eva have discovered a distinct sound which make them unique; something most bands getting played on the radio lack. A great album with all the potential in the world to be heard on the radio. Excellent work!
Amazing album
This is one of the best alternative albums out there. Created by a band with no label or help. Big kudos for pulling through such a gem all by themselves. Their song "Bright Side" is one of my favorite songs of all time, while their new songs "Sirens" and "Fracture" are equally amazing too. This is an album that it could easily produce 5 singles if it had a major label push behind it.
