Things are not always what they seem.

Alex nester gives new meaning to the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover" one look at the Fantastic Artist and you would expect one kind of performance, but when you hear the phenomenal things that come out of her, you will never judge again. Her Powerful, soulful and jaw-dropping range and quality will leave you speechless. My personal favorite is "Darkness Into Light" for it is the closest to the simple acoustic sound that I fell in love with at her live performance (Wednesdays at "Spark" in Simi Valley, CA) but even the up-tempo tunes are enough to impress even the hardest to please. She has an incredible future in front of her, and I can't wait to say that I saw her in the beginning. The Highest of Recommendations

Amazing!

This cd is amazing! Her voice is so beautiful. I'm so excited to finally see this album on iTunes for the world to hear. Her music is truely uplifting and he voice is a gift from God. Well done Alex! I hope to see you at the Grammys this year!

"Sir Stevie" is unbelievably good !!!

I was just floored when I sampled, downloaded and listened to Sir Stevie. Alex Nester has composed and sung this amazing, complex, head-spinning symphony from 12 or more (I lost count) of Stevie Wonder's greatest. Her voice is pure, and her ultra-high energy interpretations are both true to the originals and yet remain all her own. The musicians and arrangements are tight, funky, and always driving. Somewhere in there is also an all-original interlude - a vocal chorus trading fours with a burning jazz trumpet - that is a great piece of music all by itself. The Grand Finale is a tight vocal chorus (could it be all Alex' voice?) that changes key every four bars, with some tasty vocal ad-libs added. Is it R&B? Is it funk? Is it jazz? Who cares, I'm gonna download the whole album and put my ears on. Alex, where have you been hiding?
