Fantastic album and band
Ceann is one of the best bands out there. They blend good music and comedy in a very unique way that makes them a joy to listen to. Their "yankee Irish drinking music" style is fantastic, and keeps you entertained regardless of how many times you've heard a song or heard the band playing live. Ceann is simply a great band that makes great music, and I really enjoy it.
Great In The Studio, Too
The other reviewers are correct that the Ceann live experience can't be beat (nor truly replicated on CD), but Ceann has become an accomplished studio band as well. The loose energy of their vocals is reminiscent of a great party or pub band. Consequently, it is easy to miss the instrumental interplay that makes them such a joy to listen to. This Ceann album is not just a way to kill time while you wait for the next time they come to town. It is a sonic joy that stands on its own two feet - well, occasionally leaning on the wall for a some support after a little too much Guinness.
These guys freakin' rock
If you like their CD's, their live shows are even better. You get traditional irish mixed with folk renditions of rap songs. How can you beat that? If you haven't already bought this album...shame on you!
