Album Review
Even though H.I.M.'s main goal seems to be gaining attention from a female audience, Greatest Lovesongs sure was a success artistically. The contrast between Razorblade Romance and the debut, however, is quite large. Melancholy and angst seem a little artificial, while Greatest Lovesongs had a truly pressuring atmosphere all the time. Razorblade Romance forgets all about that, and the whole concept of Gothic rock and so-called "love metal" repeats itself many times during the album. But the songs themselves are actually very good; when ignoring the implementation, hit songs like "Join Me in Death" and "Right Here in My Arms" work really nicely. And horrendous clichés in lyrics and playing don't really matter, because H.I.M. recycles them well. The slightly overproduced sound may distract for a while, but after all, the song material is of a kind that is hard to fit into a demanding format. Anyhow, the songs as a whole are organized well, and it's easy to listen to the album the whole way through. [The import edition includes bonus tracks.] ~ Antti J. Ravelin, All Music Guide

BRILLIANT!
one of the best albums of all time in my opinion, but not as good as GLV666. with a different sound in RR, their second album is a master piece. if you are looking to get into HIM, this is the album you should buy. heres a quick overview of the album...
your sweet 666- not nearly as good as GLV666 version, but still decent. 7\10
poison girl- one of HIMs best songs, cool chorus. 10\10
join me in death- its alright, a little too slow for me. 6\10
right here in my arms- best song on the album, blew me away. 10\10
burry me deep inside youe heart- just o.k., nothing special. 7\10
wicked game- good stuff, good cover, but not as good as GLV666 version. 9\10
i love you- villes voice gets super deep in this one, kinda like in its all tears, good song. 8\10
gone with the sin- ha ha, i just looked at this song on itunes and it says, "gone with the sun", anyways, eerie song, a lot like type o negative. 9\10
razorblade kiss- love this song, heavy distorted guitars, like in GLV666. 10\10
resurection- good song, i approve. 8\10
deathis in love with us- great example of how their sound has changed, sick song. 9\10
heaven tonight- slow.....very slow. 7\10
sigillum diaboli- this is love metal. 9\10
one last time- could never listen to this song the whole way through, sorry. ?\10
to put it simple, buy this album, you will be satisfied. just dont turn out like bam where you get a creepy obsession with HIM.
Simply Amazing
This Album Is Simply Amazing. H.I.M. Is Not Satanistic By Any Streatch, Simply A Band That Sings With Lyrics About Pain, Love, & Death. The Lead Singer's Voice Is One That No One's Can Compare To. His Voice Is Relaxing, Soothing, Amazing. I Reccomend This Band To Anyone, Exspecially This C.D. I Admit Locking Myself In A Dark Room & Letting This Play, & Although Never In My Life Had I Ever Fallen Asleep To Music, I Drifted Off Quickly. Its Hard To Describe The Amazing Band & Even More So Amazing Singer. Buy This Album. Not Just One Song, Or A Few Popular Ones, Get Them All, Put Them In A Playlist, Turn Down The Lights, Let It Play...Rock On.
Razorblade Romance
I'd have to say that this is one of the best albums that H.I.M has put out! Key tracks to this album are Your sweet six six and wicked game. But I like them all. The tempo of this cd is perfect!! I can sit and listen to the whole cd throught with out stopping. But iTunes really needs to get there other albums on iTunes!!
