A grand tour of Naked Music styles
The soundscapes, built like the mortice and tennoning of a chalet, feature multiple layers of dubbed textures with a uniquely clean separation between the vocals and the complex arrangements. There is an evident mastery of volume balance and pre-emphasis. Jay's production technique has undergone yet another "Re-Creation." The smooth jazz refinement is reminiscent of Steely Dan's Aja along with a bandwagon of superbly talented musicians and vocalists who have elevated this production. "Hurry (Blue Six Dub)" is one of the top tracks but the suprise song is "Face the Day" filled with mysterious chord progressions and an uncharacteristically under-the-top Bluesix-ness. This is a track yearning to be re-mixed. Well done! - yankee

Put in a bowl, the usual exquisite, SUPER sexy beat that only Jay Denes can create, with generous tea spoons of Bryan Ferry sleek sound -- "Boys and Girls", for instance -- and add a few touches of those fab 80's drums from Talking Heads... You got yourself here, the perfect super sexy soundtrack for the Summer! The vocals are flawless. It has the warmth of a hot Summer afternoon and the coolness of a breeze filled with the smell of pine trees. Like the Sutro, in San Francisco, or Fire Island. Or Brazil. I LOVE IT!
