Excellence... (as usual)
For those of you new to the Goot universe, Alex Goot is the Singer, songwriter, and musician behind all the music. Yes, this one man band plays guitar, piano, and drums. Needless to say Alex is just oozing with talent.
'Read My Mind' is his latest EP and like his previous albums it is excellent.
On the first track and title track, 'Read my Mind', Goot shares vocal duties with Tay Jardine of 'We Are the In Crowd' (formerly The In Crowd)
I love Tay's voice but not sure if I love it for THIS song. In a way, the duet seems unnecessary to me and when you suddenly hear a females voice it's distracting in a way. But I must say I DO love the song itself. So much so that I can forgive an additional voice.
Track two 'Love to Hate Myself' is a bouncy, fun tune - the way that only Goot could make self loathing fun.
The final track, 'Pretty Eyes' is a classic Goot piano love song. Simple, with beautiful lyrics and melody.

i love goot! he just keeps improving and becoming even more talented, even when i think its not possible. congrats on another three songs that will be forever stuck in my head (along with the rest of this guy's music). five stars!
