Trey Songz isn’t out to change the world; he just want to craft songs that are light, fun, and flirtatious. He’s a little bit R Kelly, a little bit Ne-Yo, and a little bit of whatever’s happening on the charts. None of which is a bad thing. “LOL :-)” and “I Invented Sex” are nothing but a good time — the kind of catchy, sweetened R&B/rap duet that has been around at least since Heavy D. and Aaron Hall made “Now That We Found Love.” Trey Songz is especially good when he’s moving slow. The songwriting teams behind Beyonce’s Irreplaceable” and Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together” collaborate to deliver “I Need a Girl,” an acoustic-based pop song that is a new look for Trey and one of the strongest cuts on Ready. Still, the singer is better at playing sex symbol than he is the yearning boyfriend. The half-time jams “Holla If Ya Need Me,” “Neighbors Know My Name” and “Jupiter Love” are part bedroom ballads, part club songs, and Trey squeezes each of them for everything they’re worth.

by tooo cooolthis is a good album and the 2nd best artist R n B has to offer right now next to Usher. Yes I know you R.Kelly fans dont think so but R. Kelly fell out, cant get back up and might have cracked a hip. Trey has showed his talent every album and contiues to advance on his career. He keeps his name out whether he is on a rapper's track on his own. now the album is worth the 10 bucks the deluxe is not worth the 15 because of the video. so buy the 10 buck album and if u like the bonus song or 2 buy it seperately.

by rolltideALUMNISO i mean when i first got it, i did the skim through, then i pulled it out. Came back a week later took the time Trey deserved now its on repeat. Yeah, I can skip over LOL : ); cuzz i want to get down to R&B business- but Trey's efforts are not diminished here, NO "Love Lost". HIs cd plays without the remote skip button- cant say that about music these past couple years. The only drawback is and maybe he is reading this- but those interludes like so need to be stretched out into songs in an extended release edition or something. Thank you Trey Songz for Evolving, for reminding all of us what a slow jam is, keep doing what your doing and you will remain "Successful".
