Album Review
Reni Lane’s debut received a boost from VH1 in early 2010, when the network chose the album’s leadoff track as the theme for a new reality series. The song in question, “Place for Us,” is the album’s main highlight, filled with stabs of alt rock guitar and a confident, understated vocal performance. Featuring four different producers and just as many songwriters, Ready ventures quite far from that sound during its 11 tracks, often devoting as much time to electro-pop as rock. The arrangements vary throughout, but Ready's best tracks place more emphasis on Lane's voice that the instruments that surround it.

An Instant Classic (That Took A Lot Of Care To Make That Way!)
I might be prejudiced as one of the first folks to play "A Place For Us" on major market radio, though it was a soon-after live video session that sealed the deal for me. This record is just that - a RECORD - in the old school sense. Every track is a winner, and they all add up to a listening experience that anyone who loves well-written, well-produced, well-played songs should enjoy. And if you are lucky enough to see R.L. perform them in person, well, you'll really understand why this record (in a perfect world) will be on your Top Whatever for 2010! - DTM, KUSF, San Francisco

I not only had the pleasure of seeing reni at the studio but also catches her performance.
