One of the world's most underrated guitarist
Jeff Richman is by far one of the world's most underrated guitarist. He is a great composer and this CD highlights some of his best material. I think the reason Jeff hasn't cracked the radio barrier is that his tunes don't sacrifice melodic content and doesn't contain a plethera of corny hooks just for the sake of it. The reason I like Jeff is because he doesn't sound like Smooth Jazz Radio. I love the way the project is organized. It will take you on a pleasurable and ecletic journey. Also the songs have various time signatures which keeps things from getting mundane and repititious. Check out his other projects. You won't be dissapointed.
This guy can really play
I've seen this guy at the Baked potato in N. Hollywood and this guy has, not only chops, but a depth and pure honesty when writing music and playing the guitar. He doesn't have the corny hooks and soft melodic bull crap you hear on smooth jazz radio. He writes and plays with a hard edge that keeps in accordance with the original intention of jazz.
