Musically Rich & Fantastic Storytelling-Best Album of the Year!

Jeremy Casella's cd has not left my car stereo or my home music player since I got it a few weeks ago (iTunes was taking too long). It is truly fantastic, representing the best of what has come out of Nashville. It is sonically varied and the sound is rich and full, painting a beautiful landscape for your ears, heart and soul to feast upon. Jeremy Casella uses a variety of instruments, creating a full orchestral sound in this album. He uses horns, strings, congo drums, etc. His voice is also very lovely. This album is a masterpiece, a haven for those who love beautiful sound and great storytelling. For example, "Darkest Night" is a stunningly profound piece about a deep loss in his own life (death of a family member, I think). The first few songs on the album are faster. My favorite is "The Space Between Living and Dying". If you get one song, get this one. If you're up for one more song, get "Distress Signal" or "Darkest Night". After that, check out "Study in F" - which is instrumental but J. Casella manages to speak a thousand words through the intricately crafted instrumentation in this piece. "Recovery" speaks about renewal and hope despite sorrow. All in all, I think you're seriously missing out if you don't get at least a few tracks on this album. Better yet, get the whole album, you won't regret it. It's a very mature album. A breath of fresh air in the midst of pop music filled with trite and cliched lyrics. Perhaps that's why he's part of the "Square Peg Alliance" - square pegs in round holes. Other square peg members you can check out include Derek Webb, Sandra McCracken, Andrew Peterson, Andrew Osenga and Eric Peters. Thank God for these artists!

Best Album I've Heard in a Long Time

Jeremy's Third Release is one of the best I've heard in a while...the music is original and the lyrics are meaningful. I've been waiting for an album like this for a while.

Great Stuff...Period
