If you're looking for epic sludgecore with guttural growls and mind-raping heaviness, then you will find it with Chelsea Grin. Recreant is (argueably) their best song. Also check out Crewcabanger!

The EP was good, but Y isn't this on it???? This is awesome, and STILL luv the cover.
P.S. It's actually very hard to compare chelsea grin 2 BMTH, because suicide season is metalcore and this is deathcore. Also chelsea grin/smile is a form of murder so the title is also not a rip off.

Formed in 2007, Chelsea Grin channel the brutality of their namesake into their punishing brand of breakdown-heavy deathcore. Starting as a five-piece, the Salt Lake City, Utah band, consisting of singer Alex Koehler, guitarists Michael Stafford and Chris Kilbourn, bassist Austin Marticorena, and drummer Andrew Carlston, wasted no time getting itself out there, releasing a self-titled EP on Statik Factory in 2008 and hitting the road.
