Good Stuff Worth Having

If you're an all around Thrice fan appreciating the old but welcoming the new and always happy to hear somebody actually sound good live, go for this EP, its not a regretful purchase. For those who continue to contest the change of sound by Thrice, I am still confused by them. If you're in it for nothing but the sound, fine, go find some thrashing guitar elsewhere. But if you actually listen (or read, since the screaming can overcome the words) to the lyrics, this was never a typical band. Not to get so technical, but if you take the percentage of Thrice's songs that deal with breakups, anger towards one individual, or just praising a girl altogether, then compare it to other bands...well shouldn't that qualify them as one of the most unique bands around, scream/thrash or keyboard? The lyrics, if anything, have matured...and logically the sound has followed it...and anybody who believes "The Earth will shake" or "of dust of nations" can be classified as typical poprock, you're a complete moron

Great Stuff

This EP is awesome!Thrice is amazing live,This is why they are the only band that can pull off recorded live songs and i think that "Flags Of Dawn" and "Weight Of Glory" are way better than most of the songs on Vheissu.Im also stoked that they put "Under a Killing Moon" on it and didnt forget about the older stuff, and they've never released an acoustic version of this songs before. So go buy it now!

Thrice is as true as it gets

I have been a fan since identity crisis and I can truly say the style has changed(not for the worse or better, just different), but the real gift of thrice is the honesty you feel come through.. they are not posing or pretending. I have yet to be dissapointed. If you are looking for another fast punk/emo/hardcore cd this aint it. but if you are looking for emotional, angry and honest musicians playin their hearts out Thrice Rule! Always 5 stars

The post-hardcore quartet Thrice formed in 1998 in Irvine, California. Guitarist/vocalist Dustin Kensrue, guitarist Teppei Teranishi, bassist Eddie Breckenridge, and drummer Riley Breckenridge all knew each other from high school and the neighborhood skate park, and the usual round of practices, music competitions, and local gigs helped hone their new band's sound. By late 1999, Thrice had amassed enough material to cut a proper record. Working with Death by Stereo's Paul Miner, the quartet recorded...
