What the??

I'm a huge 3eb fan, especially their lyrics but this is the most politically charged garbage. I miss the lyrics about life and loss and love. I hope the album is better.

Glad they're back

It's been way too long since we last heard from Third Eye Blind. With the last original album coming in 2003, five years is too long to wait for the creative genius that is Stephan Jenkins. It's like right when you think you'll never hear anything new from this group again, here they come with a new EP to prepare you for an upcoming album. The Red Star EP retains the familar flavor of past 3EB projects but with a more modern, updated feel. "Non Dairy Creamer" should be the group's next radio hit - it has that pop sound similar to many of 3EB's songs that are more popular with the masses - but, to me, the defining song on the EP is "Why Can't You Be." I remain in awe of how this group continues to hide under the radar with the quality of music they produce. While their first album may have gotten the highest praise, 3EB continues to get better as the years pass and I for one am looking forward to the upcoming album.

WTF.

I don't even think most of Non Dairy Creamer makes sense. Why don't they just sing, instead of trying to push their political views on people, especially when you just throw a bunch of words together. It has a catchy tune, but other than that it's garbage. Their old stuff is wayy better.

Although often lumped into the post-grunge category, Third Eye Blind sported a brighter sound than many of their late-'90s peers, taking as much influence from classic pop/rock traditions as the angst-ridden music that dominated the decade. The group scored its first hit in 1997, when the debut single "Semi-Charmed Life" cracked the Top 10. Third Eye Blind built upon that success throughout the following three years, releasing a number of singles (three of which cracked the Top 10)...
