i love this guy
he has such a lithe and seductively sinister voice. he is deceptively cheerful but his music reeks of the kind of despair you feel when you reach your late 20s and realize that your life hasn't really gone anywhere, its manic, suicidal but also a lot of fun. hahha if that makes sense. this is definitely a more cheerful jude than his last few albums, this is bare bones Jude, I would love to see this guy play live. He's definitely not of this era, his perspective is of a more humble world and his music is about simple guys trying to deal with a world of absolute nonsense and superficial greed.
Fantastic
This album has so many fantastic songs; the ones that you hope that he plays when you see him live. Jude has a poignantly beautiful voice that grabs your attention. Quite a few of these song are untempo with bittersweet stories. Jude has once again written songs with incredible lyrics that showcase his talent and wit.
Excellent work
After a while without hearing from Jude, it is with pleasure that I found some of his new work at youtube and decided to check the entire album. High quality album and you can taste a Beatles/Lennon/Sean Altman styles all blended into a very melodic and inspiring work. It is a shame he is not exploding in the business as he definetely deserves. I rate it 5 stars.
