What Metal Should Be!

This album will make any true metal fan smile with its brutality, creativity, and sheer metal genius. It combines numerous types of metal, with hints of European metal and a little bit of death thrown in for good measure. The album blends well, with one crushing song after another. My favorites would have to be Pale Horse and Birds, a massacre of a song. Buy this album. You won't regret it. This is the next big thing for metal.

TRUE NC METALCORE

Seneca is easily one of the best hardcore/metal bands I've ever listened to. In this album as well as their incredible self-titled album (which itunes NEEDS to get), they continue their distinct style of blending instrumental melodicism with insane breakdowns. "Pale Horse" is one of the best songs I've heard from Seneca and definitely the best on this album. "Carousels" is also pretty interesting song because it starts out pretty brutal but suprisingly takes a u-turn and becomes a little poppy at the end. This along with "Illusions" prove to be successful attempts by the band at experimenting with their sound. "Black Gold" and "The 29th Day" are also great, standout tracks while "Creator" shows Seneca at their most religious and possibly most heavy. As a whole, Reflections comes out on par with Seneca's self-titled album and I would highly reccommend seeing these guys live because they're insane.

another great band comming out of Charlotte, NC....

i remember going to see these guys live for the first time ever 2 years ago, and was thinking to myself that this band was gonna make it one day. and they have done so by signing to Lifeforce Records and releasing an unbelievable cd. I strongly reccommend anyone, if you get the chance, to go see Seneca live if they ever come through your town because this band really knows how to put on a great show. - keep it metal!
