Reign In Blood is not so much a collection of songs as it is an outburst of anguish and frustration, a primal scream so explosive it would echo across the early metal years of the '80s, the barren years of the '90s, and right on up into a new century. Highly prized by virtually everyone in the metal community, Reign In Blood is on the short list of seminal thrash metal albums, and ranks alongside Master of Puppets and Paranoid as one of the greatest heavy- metal albums of all time. Will Never Be Surpassed
Over 20 years old and this is still one of the most intense, fastest things out there. All the songs on here are great. And to the people who think all the songs sound the same: believe me they don't. Any poser who calls himself a "metal fan" will like Raining Blood immediately. But to realize the true greatness of this cd, you have to let it sink in. Don't just listen to it once and go, "There's no difference between the songs. What's the big deal about this cd?" Listen to it a couple of times, get used to the intensity of it, and then you'll see what the big deal is.
Possibly the Greatest Extreme Metal Album Ever
So, iTunes finally got it, leaving me to write the 1st review! I actually didn't buy this here, I got it on CD years ago. But do let me say that this is one of the greatest albums of all time, Metal or otherwise. Death Metal, Black Metal, Grindcore, Metalcore, Moshcore, fill-in-the-blank-core etc. would never have existed were it not for this album right here. The music speaks for itself, buy it now...
