Album Review
Composer Rolfe Kent's score for director Mike Binder's film Reign Over Me is an atmospheric, plaintive, and hypnotic collection of themes that perfectly match the film's dramatic and somewhat melancholy storyline. While generally orchestral in tone, Kent does intersperse some electronic, pop, jazz, and calypso styles throughout, lending the moody score a kind of organic feeling rooted in the film's New York City environs.

Great Movie and Soundtrack or so I thought
This score is great and all but I wanted the soundtrack to be the music that Adam Sandler listened to in the movie.
Rich & multi-layered
What a fantastic new piece of work from Rolfe Kent. This feels different from his previous scores: it's moodier and has all of these textures and layers in it that I don't normally notice in his other work. It's fantastic background music, and really makes me want to see this movie. Check out my imixes for more great film music, both old and new!
left something to be desired
okay so i only listened to the little samples of each song and i thought that i'd forgotten to click to the next song b/c each song sounded exactly like the previous one. i love chill music so i'd probably enjoy this as background music. however, after watching the movie, i couldn't wait to check out the soundtrack 'cause Charlie was soooo into great music & personally, i think "Charlie" would think that this cd was crap. sorry mr. kent, but this does not represent the movie AT ALL.
