Mr. Dev has done it again. He never disappoints. The drum work is amazing (as always) and the meticulous nature of this producer is very obvious. This is a must have in my opinion. Let me expalain the title of this review. This cd is not for your average listener. I think alot of this will be a bit over most people's heads. If you are a producer , beat-head, dancer, or just someone who really listens to music you may not enjoy this as much. It takes a trained ear to appreciate what has truly been created here.
Pretentious, Anttiunk
As triangle boy said, unless you're a pretentious douche who gets off on the mathematical intricacies of Dev's programming, this CD isn't for you. Basically everything that's wrong with DnB today, Paradox is more concerned with the variety of his drum edits than with approximating anything resembling funky music. Anti-dancefloor anti-funk, this can't hold a candle to the rolling basslines of Shy Fx, Clipz, or TC. Buy this one for your nerdy cousin who sits at home playing fantasy games all day online, but otherwise, forget about it.
