An Eminem album is always more than the sum of its grooves. It’s a psychotherapy playground where its confessor manipulates the intelligence until no one’s sure where the truth is hiding. He lashes out at the world, but he’s no stranger to self-loathing. Eminem’s sober, but he’s not happy about it. His first album in five years, Relapse brings the sound of a man pent-up in his own brain-frozen hell. Valium, Vicodin, Ambien, you name it, Eminem has words for it. “Déjà Vu” recounts his slide down the pharmaceutical trail, passed out in cars, admitted to hospitals for “pneumonia” while hiding drugs from his 11-year old daughter. Em’s old imagined nemeses — Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan — are pretty tired by comparison (the tune’s even called “Same Song and Dance”). “My Mom” offers “sympathy.” He figures his problems are either genetically inherited or learned from a mother he professes to still love. His ex-wife Kim seems to be in the clear, but then maybe she’s embedded deeper in Eminem’s private code. His mind may have been a blur over these years, but he remembers when necessary.

Dr West - Its ok, funny-ish, sets tone for 3AM 3.5/5
3AM - The third single, its ok, dang accent sorta kills it 3/5
My MOm - Touching how he still cares about his mom 4/5
Insane - Very descriptive how he talks abolut his gay stepfather molesting him, catchy, I like it 5/5
Bagpipes From Baghdad - Bouncy, nice chorus, like the dissing (listen to The Warning) 4.5/5
Hello - Its OK, not amazing, but one of the better tracks on the album - 3.5/5
TOnya - Sets the stage for Same Song and Dance - 4/5
Same Song and Dance - WOw I really like this song, meaningful and sorta saddening 5/5
We Made You - Just fooling around, maybe dissing Mariah Carey a bit, but catchy, good beat, hilarious video 5/5
Medicine Ball - Not that good, makes me feel sick, lousy chorus 1/5
Paul - I liked it, pretty good phonecall 5/5
Stay Wide Awake - Hmmmm, mysterious-ish using his accent which is annoying but still good rhymes 3.5/5
Old Time's Sake - Great with Dre, talks about coming back to rap 5/5
Must Be The Gnaja - I hate this song, meaningless i feel, should be taken off album 0/5
Mr Mathers - Its good, calssic skit 4/5
Deja Vu - I just dont feel this track, not nearly his best 2/5
Beautiful - Best single, best track, no accent, talks about his drug addiction, very moving, best on Relapse 6/5
Crack A Bottle - Very good, good chorus and rhymes, just not 50's part - 4.5/5
Steve Berman - Always a good skit, and this one doesn't disappoint 5/5
My Darling - Its ok, weak chorus, expected better 3/5
Careful What You Wish For - I found this very clever, in a subtle way 4.5/5

Greatness
by to crazy to be insaneTo all the generic, lame, I got money to blow on every genre of music that comes out is gonna say this album is "WEAK"! Do yourself a favor make 4 albums and make them unique evertime you bring it. Then publish it and see if you can at least get a star on one of the songs.
The album is solid and the accent is what makes this album different from all his others and some crack pot said Em stood for something back in the day. LOL what an idiot! EM has only stood for one thing saying what he wants to say and making money. Buy the album it's worth it.
