Charlotte, come back

Not normally a huge listener to this type of band, my taste running more along the lines of Porcupine Tree, Devin Townsend, Opeth, etc., I picked up Are You Thinking . . . after seeing them open for Muse. I was impressed by the relatively mature songwriting combined with a good sense of hook. I did take notice of each of the individual members' musical skills and thought Ms Froom had a nice touch on the bass.
After looking forward to another release, I am quite disappointed with this one. It is soooooo derivative I had a hard time listening to it all the way through. Maybe it was Wendy Melvoin's production on AYTWIT, perhaps Charlotte had a hand in writing the music on that one, I don't know, but Z Berg's vocals are about the only saving grace here.

FINALLY!

i was raised on oldies music! from detroit sound to the british invasion. when i came across this band i was, at first, a little scared. but then when i listened to this i was sooooo happy! i am also happy because i dress like them, so i feel like they are relateable :)
