an old Bella Morte classic
If you really like the old, dark gothic music, this album is for you. Most of the songs are slow to fit the romantic mood or the “mourning the loss of a loved one” lyrics so there is definitely a song or two that anyone can relate to. Andy Deane’s vocals are always a treat to listen to but you can truly hear his talent on this CD – he can definitely hold out the long notes! Songs worth checking out are “Nevere”, “As We Descend”, “One Winter’s Night”, “Evensong”, and the long yet beautiful instrumental “Stygian Shores”.
Brilliant
Each track on Remains blends perfectly into the next without loosing tone. I'm pretty sure if you look hard enough, you'll come across an old horror film that matches up perfectly to Remains. I listen to Stygian Shores before falling into the deepest sleep. Excellent excellent and excellent!
Bella Musica!
This album is one of my favorites of all time. It's true, there are a lot of slower tempo songs but, really, they're all beautiful so who cares. Andy's vocals are nothing short of blissful, dark goodness and I could listen to him sing for all eternity. Anyone who finds beauty in the darkness will appreciate this.
