Longtime Wu-Tang affiliate and member of spin-off crew Sunz of Man, 60 Second Assassin may be unknown to the masses, but any serious Shaolin head has been onto him for many years, thanks to his appearances on much-loved records from Ol' Dirty Bastard and Raekwon the Chef, among others. On his long awaited debut solo piece, he continues to do what he does best, rocking ferocious flows that balance world-weary criminology tales with surprisingly intellectual breakdowns, mixing religious references with straight thug-isms. Produced mostly by longtime compatriot Bronze Nazareth (the RZA does contribute one track), the musical backdrops are reminiscent of that classic Wu vibe, with an abundance of dirty drums, melancholy string and organ loops, chopped funk jams, and subtle vocal clips. Not exactly groundbreaking, but still immensely enjoyable — and sure to satisfy any old-school Wu-Tang fanatics. Standouts include the upbeat banger "Sword Style," posse cut "War Zone (Remix)" with La the Darkman, RZA, Timbo King, and Prodigal Sunn, plus "The Throne" with Planet Asia.

This album is BANANAS!!!! 60 sec knocked it out the park!! i know many will disagree but i like this album better than cuban linx two. The beats are OFF THE HOOK(BRONZE NAZARETH,RZA,SHAWNECI ICE COLD)with LIVE INSTRUMENTATION (PROJECT LIONHEART)ANY REAL HIP HOP HEAD WILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ALBUM.

For CCB to say he ain't got no flow I disagree. He use to blaze tracks on old
Sunz material. He hype up all tracks
His timing is at different timing making him unorthodox
Haven't heard album yet yet looking forward peace
60 $econd Assassin that's good news
After hearing so much music from Sunz of Man and Wu' that has had songs where 60 Second Assassin would kill a verse or the hook, it's refreshing to hear his long anticipated solo album. When I heard the first 30 seconds, I had to buy it.
