Not your typical steel drum
Great talent shows through a simple instrument. Ten fingers, one drum, myriad combinations - pleasant listening!
Fantastic!
I can't recommend this cd highly enough. If you like instrumental music like Andreas Vollenweider, Kitaro, Enya, Yanni, you'll love this. The hang drum sounds like a xylophone or wind chimes. It's somehow relaxing and energizing at the same time.
I just saw Dante in a large concert of 50 acts, one song each. During his song, the audience was was completely silent, spellbound. I'd have to say that his performance was in the top 5, and afterwards, I heard the most buzz about him. Though more expensive, I would have preferred purchasing the cd to downloading it, but there were none available when I got to the merch table!
These songs surpass the promise of their samples. Like others, I just wish there were more of them! Try this out - you will be glad you did.
Awesome..but short
This album is great, each track is unique..."Hangfunk" is a great opener and just gets you in the mood of the peaceful and yet vibrant hang drum. "Let Me Go" is a relaxing piece, not my favorite but good for yoga or other meditations. "Reminiscene" is the happy, default mood. "Fanfare" (my favorite) is so melodic and makes you bop your head with great little taps on the hang drum, some nice bass in there too. "Evolution" is a slower, ending song." I love this album but the only problem I have with it, is its length. 4 stars! Good job Dante!
