I love Seether, but...

I love Seether, but to remix their songs into techno or dubstep is horribly wrong. I don't see Shaun Morgan being okay with his music being ruined the way these samples prove it has been. Wind-Up, however, I can see pushing this out there for sales and trying to make Seether a mainstream band and also get them played in dance clubs, etc. This EP "Remix" is a travesty on the ears of those true fans of Seether, and spit in all their faces. This deserves ZERO stars, but receives one ONLY so I can post this review.

A very wide miss...

There's tasteful remixes, and then there's talentless abominations. There's good dubstep, and then there's this crap. I'm in the remarkably small demographic that actually enjoys The Path of Totality by KoRn, and I still hate this-- a lot. I can't overstate my distaste for what these greasy little techno amateurs did to my favorite Seether album.

Unfair ratings..

As far as I can tell, hardcore seether/rock fans are giving one star because they are not looking at these electro remixes with unbiased points of view.

I am 120% sure that Seether is not going permanately electronic like some of these other idiots seem to think. Electronic is blowing up and so they obviously thought it would be fun to experiment with remixed versions of their songs. If you don't listen to any electronic music and only hard rock, you will probably not like these remixes very much [Note genre as ELECTRONIC]. Myself as a moderate fan of rock and seether, and a moderate fan of electronic, I found these remixes to be quite well done, and I actually loved the synthesized variation on the original rock songs.

If you don't have anything against good electronic music, even if you are a fan of the original Seether give it a listen. Just because its not rock doesn't mean these songs arent amazingly well remixed. I love them.

Hailing from South Africa and comprising members Shaun Morgan (vocals, guitar), Dale Stewart (bass), and John Humphrey (drums), Seether embraces a brand of heavy metal mostly associated with the post-grunge era of alternative music, complete with crunchy distortion and brooding textures. The band emerged in 1999 as Saron Gas (a name taken from the back of a sound effects CD) and released their debut album, Fragile, the following year on Musketeer Records. In a country whose musical tastes center...
