A Laudable First Release

Jason's premiere release was independently-conceived, written, recorded and executed - all in the brilliantly quirky manner that characterizes many of his songs. The evolution of his personal composing style is evident in the selections included in this release, ranging from bare-bones piano and vocals in Squirrel Bacon to the intricate layering in songs like Ellinia Remix and Saria's Song Remix. Quirky lyrics and smooth instrumentation characterize the Maplestory-related music included in this album, and the haunting oboe duet in The Fall of Henesys cannot be described as anything less than hauntingly beautiful, but the techno-flavored remixes are where Jason's blossoming expertise and creative energies really shine. Though the lyrics are frequently cheesy and the subject matter almost prohibitingly niche, this album stands as an essential part of the music collection of any fan of Jason's work.

Better old content and great new content!

This album is a collection of 20 songs. 18 songs are those listeners have most enjoyed, including my Sonic the Hedgehog, Zelda, and Maplestory remixes, and some other silly Maplestory songs that I wrote. All of these have been painstakingly remastered and polished to sound as good as possible. Some songs (like my Ellinia remix, which I extended) took a full week of work to get it to the point that you hear on iTunes. The last two tracks of the album are a little different. For the first, I re-wrote and recorded one of my first songs, entitled "Squirrel Bacon" (don't ask...) which you can find in a hidden folder on my channel, and for the second, I wrote an entirely new song, featuring Dani Williams, called "Maplestory's Girlfriend"
