Too young to realize his error.
The previous review calls this music addicting. It is not. It is enchanting and mesmerizing; there is a colossal difference. I fear that young minds pass judgments on music much too early in life. If a marching band member can condemn the genius of this composer, and quit his music because doesn’t like this piece, he simply hasn’t enough life experience. Wait, I say, you will learn, you will mature, and you will come to appreciate that this music is a basic in the minimalist experience. You may even come to think of those 99 cents as a great investment in your education. Give another listen. Wait for the nuance and glory.
Orawa is AMAZING!!!
I'd just like to say that Orawa happens to be one of my all-time favorites in the string orchestra repertoire! The way Kilar takes a rather simple melody and turns it into something beyond ordinary is absolutely amazing! You could find it a little annoying the first listen, but give it a chance and you'll be able to appreciate the true genius of this work. Minimalism has one of its finest moments in Orawa. You can believe it or not, but if you're not a fan of minimalism, I know plenty of people who despise the genre, but love this piece. Definitely worth the $0.99.
iTunes says that it's no longer available!
The only song you purchase from this album now is Orawa, you can't buy the full album anymore period. It's ridiculous to keep this album up since you can't buy all but one of the songs.
