Album Review
In the span of his debut release and a praise project, Jeremy Camp managed to set the Christian music world ablaze. Camp's pure openness and ability to wear his emotions on his sleeve took listeners to many places. On his third opus, Restored, Camp pours out another page of passion, pain, and purpose lyrically, while musically delivering another dose of splendor. Songs like "Restored" and "Take You Back" are lifted straight from Camp's heart and soul while leaning heavily on the acoustic guitar. Adding orchestration, the cut "Even When" leans nicely on the theme of God's grace, which Camp revisits often. What you can't help but notice throughout the disc is the potency of each cut. On every cut of every disc there is never the feeling of filler material. Camp manages to deliver song after song of honest, musically rich material. It's a feat that's only accomplished by artists like Third Day and MercyMe. Restored is authentication of the amazing talents of this young man. Camp is an artist who has lots to give and lots to say. The beauty is he's only just begun the journey.

Every time I hear this album, I am reminded why I very much enjoy Jeremy Camp. His ability to create amazing songs with powerful messages is incredible. With both softer and heavier tones, Restored is one album that I can listen to all the way through without being disappointed in a single track. Here is a quick rundown:
Restored--9.5/10 Driving yet very emotional, awesome way to kick off the album.
Take You Back--9/10 Powerful message, cool melodic soft rock.
Even When--8.5/10 Orchestral ballad, vintage J.C. with nods to his first album.
Lay Down My Pride--10/10 The best song on the album, if not Jeremy Camp's best ever, with a generous dose of anthemic pounding rock.
My Desire--10/10 Another incredible song, about giving your all to Christ. Great acoustic feel.
Be the One--8/10 This always seems to serve as a lighthearted yet meaningful airbrake from the previous two lyrically intense songs. Stands well on its own for the melodic folk feel it projects.
Everytime--9.5/10 Awesome chord progression here, with ethereal and arena-filling guitar riffs.
Letting Go--8.5/10 Somewhat reflects "Be the One," but with a greater depth in lyrics delivery and guitar backdrop.
Breathe--9/10 Another aggresive rocker. Camp drives the lyrics home with a passion.
This Man--10/10 Jeremy Camp's most lyrically profound song. 'Nuff said.
Innocence--9/10 Great song, with a somber and serious feel. One of the most reflective songs on the album.
Nothing Else I Need--8/10 Rounds everything off with an all-around relaxed praise ballad.
Overall: 9.1/10 BUY THIS ALBUM, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
