Album Review

The confusingly titled Retrospective, Vol. 2 — there is no other CD called Retrospective in Sevendust's catalog, although there is a 2001 DVD called Retrospect — is ostensibly an archival release, as the backward-looking title suggests. It's not, really. It's a collection of three new songs — "Losing You," "The Rim," "Sleeper," none too noteworthy, but they're not bad, either — and six OK live cuts, all buttressed with a DVD containing the tantalizing documentary "A Day in the Life of Sevendust," several videos, plus other video fun for fans. And that's exactly who this is for: fans who need a dose of Sevendust live, who will laugh at Pete the A&R Guy. For them, this is a worthwhile release to bide time between records; for all others it's passable.

The Above Is a True Statement

This song/album deserves a 5 star but with the "Album Only" on Losing You it needs to be given a 3.Itunes you need to learn that your doing nothing but reafirming speculators veiws that you're here not to give good music but to rip people off. I know you can do better Itunes. There is an excelent library of music and the whole itunes+ipod/phone setup is amazing. Just work on being more customer friendly and defedently be shure to lose the "Album Only" crap. Excelent Song. A must have.

whoever made losing you album only is an a**hole

the title and rating speak for itself... SEVENDUST RULES!!!!

Can't get enough 7D!!!

The live songs are good, but "The Rim" and "Sleeper" are must haves!!! 7D is one of the most talented bands. They keep coming up with GREAT music. "The Rim" is heavy and great to just handbang out to. "Sleeper" is killer. Slow at times and then hard and aggressive. Seriously get them!!
