I Like Toni Also But Patti....
I was surfing titles that featured Patti Austin and came across this cd and it's amazing. The standards arranged for this release will bring tears to your eyes and if a true sobbing is in order listen to Patti's stirring rendition of "My Heard Stood Still." Patti's amazing vocals awash in Matt's glorious strings, a true match made in heaven. As for Toni her cover of "The Way I Want To Touch You" is good but listen to her reading of the standard "I'm Not Through With Romance." Wow!!

OK, I have been a Captain and Tennille Fan since the 70s and can appreciate alot of Toni's solo work, she has a voice that is still very much intact and versatile with multiple genres of music even today. However when I heard Matts arrangement of The Way I I want to touch you and toni's Singing I was just blown away. WOW, WOW, WOW what I can say this track is AWESOME, the rest of the albm is as well!. What a great project. I hope we get to see it LIVE somewhere soon!
Matt and Toni Tennille
Matt Catingub has worked with Toni Tennille for many years now. Knowing his talent, and those of Toni Tennille, I was eager to hear "The Way That I Want To Touch You." I was totally blown away!! Toni sounds better today then when she originally recorded this song with husband Daryl Dragon back in the early 1970's. Someone should release this song as a single to AC radio stations. Matt's arrangement is awesome and takes the song to a new level of class. The rest of this album is also wonderful and is a great listen from start to finish.
